Rental House in Bellingham

We are currently renting the first floor of a house in Bellingham until the end of May. We are in the process of looking for a new rental closer to Seattle, about 30 miles north in the Mill Creek area. This way I will commute south to Seattle and Joe will drive north to Mount Vernon.
The rental house in Bellingham has a great front porch to watch Chance when she goes out in the morning when it’s raining.
The first floor includes a living room, stairs down to the second floor which is another rental, dining room, kitchen, laundry, bedroom with king bed and desk, a master bath with large walk-in closet, and skylights in the entry and master bath.
Chance doesn’t care for the new way to take baths.
But she has been adjusting well. She now has her favorite spot to sunbathe in late afternoon sun (when there is some).

The yards here are beautiful. Lush green grass seems to grow so easily in an area with frequent precipitation. One afternoon we saw a rabbit hanging out in backyard.

The location of this house is great. If we stayed in Bellingham for good, we would have liked to buy in this area, on Samish Hill. It’s right off the interstate. 2 minutes down the road is a great grocery store, Haggen and an REI! We’re minutes away from the Fairhaven Historic District which is basically like a second heart to the city. Downtown is only 10 minutes away as well. The technical center Joe works at in Mount Vernon is 30 minute drive.

Love the house! But, for the record, I hate that I love it.
