Boise, Idaho

July 12-14, 2013

The very next weekend after our long Oregon vacation we decided to get back in the car again for another long drive. This time to Boise, Idaho! Joe’s cousin Nikki was offered a full scholarship to Boise State University’s physics department graduate school. We decided to go help her on her visit to decide if she would accept the position and to find a place to live near campus. We picked her up from downtown Boise Friday night and went for dinner and beers at Bittercreek Ale House.

Saturday morning we went hiking near the Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area on a few Nordic Trails

We got sandwiches for lunch in downtown Boise and ate near the Idaho State Capitol Building.

After driving around the Boise State campus for awhile, we snuck over to find a view of the blue smurf-colored football field.

We discussed floating down the river
We went to the Sierra Trading Post Outlet and yet another REI store in Boise/Meridian.
Sunday morning we walked along Ann Morrison Park before taking Nikki to the airport.
