ARCADE Bullitt Center

ARCADE Bullitt Center
Friday March 8, 2013

If I have to work inside on this beautiful day I at least get to spend the last day of my 20s with the best coworkers! Thanks for the Cupcake Royale & tulips girls!
After work, Robert, Amanda and I head to the ARCADE party at the Bullitt Center. The building doesn’t officially open under Earth Day but it was nice to get a sneak peak of level 2 and its roof deck. The stair tower was to die for. Loved it. The largely glazed office building is overbearing with its PV ‘hat’ overhanging the sidewalks and really overbearing for the neighborhood.

Frost, Skillet, Frey House Tour, Pine Box, Von Trapp’s

Frost, Skillet, Frey House Tour, Pine Box, Von Trapp’s

Saturday March 2, 2013

This morning we finally were able to try Frost Donuts for breakfast. It’s a Mill Creek destination.

For lunch Joe and I went to Skillet on Capitol Hill. It was well worth the wait.
I had a bacon jam burger. The food was amazing. I just can’t get enough of their poutine.

We met up with a few of my coworkers to tour Fred Bassetti’s mid-century modern Frey House in the Seattl e Mount Baker neighborhood on Lake Washington.

Afterwards Robert, Daniel & Sandy joined Joe & I ate Pine Box on Capitol Hill for a few drinks. Next we scouted out Von Trapp’s on Capitol Hill for the next GGLO Happy Hour with indoor bocce ball. The German feeling massive bar started to make me real excited about our plans for my 30th birthday the following weekend. We were going to Leavenworth, a Barvarian Alpine town complete to beer gardens and lots of meat in tube form.

Amaluna

Amaluna

Wednesday February 20, 2013

Tonight was date night which we planned almost 6 months ago when we bought tickets. We had an Italian dinner in Redmond & then went to see Cirque du Soleil Amaluna in a large circus tent in Marymoor Park. Amaluna was amazing.

Belgianfest

Belgianfest
Saturday February 2, 2013

Dave, Alexis and their son Jack came down to Seattle from Juneau for a weekend away in the big city. Saturday morning we took them to Jade Garden for dim sum.
Alexis & Jack went to have her nails done & get a nap while Dave, Joe & I went to a beer festival at the Bell Harbor International Convention Center on Pier 66.
I was so ready & excited for the Washington Beer Commission's Belgianfest after this long, hard, stressful week!
We each were given a 4 oz tulip shaped tasting glass. A big hit beer with us was Lazy Boy’s Nutella beer. Hazelnut, chocolate & beer. I’m allergic to nuts and even I thought it was good, too bad a full glass might make my throat swell and limit my breathing capabilities in half.
We shared our table with another Seattle couple that gave recommendations on where to shop and eat. It was a great 4 hours of beer fun.
