Freshly Cut Christmas Tree

Saturday, November 26, 2011 & Sunday, November 27, 2011

Saturday morning we went antiquing in Snohomish. Dad found a few more records here. Cool Legends Antiques Clock on 1st Street.
Snohomish River and Cascades beyond.

NC State had a HUGE come from behind win over Maryland to keep them bowl eligible & Wisconsin is heading to the Inaugural Big Ten Championship all because I put on my number 16 (Russell Wilson) NC State jersey before we left the house.

We shared cheesy breadsticks and a pizza for lunch at Cat House Pizza in Snohomish.

Next we went to Stocker Farms to cut down a Noble, Fraser, Grand or Douglas Fir Christmas tree right there on the farm.

Joe says ‘The good trees are that way’ as he points forward with the saw.
 Christmas trees.
Cutting down ‘the one.’

 Carrying the tree back.

Surprisingly the price of cutting down our own tree was not much more than what we typically get at Lowes. And it was well worth it to have a fresh tree to last all season.
Tree shaking to drop all the loose needles.
Tree baling.

Geese flying over the farm.
The tree on the Xterra

Nothing like cutting down the Christmas tree with the Cascades in the background.
Hanging Christmas lights with Mom.
Hanging the Christmas ornaments with Mom and Andy’s help.

Mmm Thanksgiving leftovers for dinner along with smoked salmon and beets from Pike Place Market.

Sunday after Mass at St Elizabeth Ann Seton, Mom, Dad, Joe and I went Christmas shopping at the Seattle Premium Outlets.

We had a fantastic visit with my family. We are so grateful that they were able to make the trip and thankful to spend great quality time together.
