THANKSGIVING

Wednesday-Thursday November 23-24, 2011

Wednesday after work we picked up Jackie’s parents and little brother Andy from the Seatac airport. We went to Henry’s Taiwan in Seattle’s Chinatown for a bite to eat for dinner. After a tour of the house and getting them settled in, we went to bed. We needed to be up early in the morning so that we were done with breakfast by 10am for the Packers/Lions game and have things started for Thanksgiving dinner.

For breakfast we had a sausage & egg casserole and apple braid.

It was weird for the east coasters to watch the Packer game at 10am. Happy Thanksgiving from a very thankful Packer fan household in Washington! It’s not just the guys that get into the football game, Jackie, Mom and Chance were decked in their green and gold as well. There’s no mistaking us for Lions fans.

Making crescent rolls for Thanksgiving dinner with Mom.

Joe smoked a 5lb turkey breast. How do you like Joe’s breasts?

Taking the 10lb bird out of the oven.
My two favorite cooks making the gravy.

Dinner table started with pumpkin pie cooling.

 The dinner spread.

The bird from the oven filled with Grandma’s B’s stuffing recipe.

 Happy Thanksgiving!
Perfection: crescent roll, mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberries, green bean casserole, stuffing and oven turkey, smoked turkey breast and chinese yellow sweet potato casserole with marshmellows.
 ‘Where’s my food?’ says Chance.
