Seafair Blue Angels

Saturday, August 4, 2012

We had a yummy start to the day with dim sum at Jade Garden in the Seattle International District.
A nice view of Columbia Center Tower.
Hours before the Blue Angels show, many boats already waiting in Lake Washington north of I-90 with Mount Baker in the background.
Old planes before the main Blue Angels show.

Hydroplane races in the distance.

Walking onto I-90 bridge.

Nice bike cops.
Me & The Mountain.
It’s hot on the asphalt interstate waiting for the show to begin.

Logboom. People pay $400+ a boat to get a first come first served spot on the logboom for Seafair event viewing.
Boats ready for the show north of I-90.
Helicopter.

Blue Angels show.

The Blue Angels’ C-130, affectionately known as Fat Albert.

After a hot stinky bus ride across town, we stopped for some beers at the Pine Box, one of the top new bars in Seattle this year.
