After shopping at the outlets today, we drove out to
Camano Island State Park. Joe tested out our new camera lens. Jackie was his
test subject.
Time for the new telephoto lens. Time for Jackie’s turn behind the camera.
As we walked along the beach, Joe pointed out a bald
eagle come swooping down about 20 feet from us along the shoreline. I quickly
whipped up the camera and started snapping away, loving the fast shutter speed.
The bald eagle stuck around for quite awhile and then started to do circles. That
is when we realized the eagle was circling around Chance trotting a few yards
ahead of us. The eagle was probably contemplating picking up our 35 pound baby!
After about 30 snaps on the camera, I tell Joe to come over and take a look…only
to find black images! The camera lens was still on! EPIC FAIL!
The days was salvaged when we saw more wildlife, an otter.
Got too close.
He watched me until I backed away.
He came back to sunbathe.
Still watching me
Too cute.
No way to coax the eagle to come back.
It
was a great day on Camano Island. Full of surprises.
